Software Packaging Engineer
On behalf of our client we are looking for a Software Packagine Engineer for a six month contract based in Bern. We are looking for a driven and hardworking, English and German speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.

Your responsabilities will include:
* As part of the Software Lifecycle Services Packaging team, your role will be to create, trouble shoot and support EXE, MSI and ThinApp application packages
* Perform all phases of Software Packaging, including requirements analysis, Package design, development and testing
* Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
* Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and recommend solutions as required
* 2nd and 3rd level support with incident management and problem resolution
* High availability fast standby support (7x24h)
* Engineering and development of new solutions for the DXC BSC Bern and its customers
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma (TS, FH) in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant experience in the banking or financial industry are a plus.
Your experience should include:
* Experience creating custom scripts to drive installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management
* Understanding of standard packaging process and workflow
* Understanding of MSI packaging best practices and standards
* Ability to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment and System issues
* Experience with Windows 7/8/ bit (full knowledge of OS operations, File System Registry, Services and DLL's)
* MAC Packaging and OS experience
* Group Policy & Active Directory experience
* PowerShell, VBScript, and batch Scripting languages
* Software Packaging and Deployment for Citrix Servers
* Experience with VMware ThinApp or application virtualization
* Ability to build automation tools that simplify and make the packaging process more efficient for packagers
* Experience in developing and deploying software installations in a large corporate environment
* Experience with VMWare App Volumes or Equivalent
* Experience with AppSense profile and rights management products or equivalent
* Knowledge and experience in building hardware device driver installers
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
