For a project (with the option of permanent employment) at our client's site in Zurich or remote, we are looking for an experiencedSenior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps / SysAdmin (4903)
The perfect candidate is characterized by a purposeful working method to raise an established micro-service architecture to the next level.
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in managing and troubleshooting complex high volume distributed systems
- 5+ years work experience in JVM
- 5+ years work experience operating relational with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and noSQL (Couchbase,Cassandra) storages
- 3+ years work experience in setting up, configuring and monitoring Kafka and Zookeeper in production
- 2+ years work experience in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Mesos
- Excellent knowledge with at least one modern programming language, such as Go, Java, C++, Python and Scala
- Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
- Experience implementing, operating, and supporting open source tools for network and security monitoring and management on Linux/Unix platforms
- Experience with encryption and cryptography standards
- Very good written and oral communication in English
About the role:
- The objective of the project is to take an established microservices architecture to the next level
- New technical capabilities such as event-based functionality will be added to the platform and existing services will be re-engineered to take advantages of such new capabilities
- You will be working on cutting-edge technologies such as Kafka and Cassandra, high volume distributed system using micro-services written in GO and Java, and SQL and NoSQL storages
