Harvey Nash is looking for a Citrix Engineer for a 12 month project in Switzerland.
You are responsible for:
* Supporting NX in maintaining a highly available Citrix XenDesktop environment
* Supporting NX in resolving environmental issues reported by Citrix users (tier 3 support)
* Working closely with the NX Client technologies team to integrate operating system images into VDIs
* Working to ensure that the Citrix environment is patched according to Citrix recommendations
* Working to ensure that the Citrix environment is monitored to ensure business continuity
* Aligning closely with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible Citrix service to the business
* Working to automate existing manual processes where possible eg. auto VDI creation/assignment triggered by request form/approval
* Maintaining a good knowledge of the latest virtual desktop and virtualized application industry trends
Requirements
* At least 5 years' experience in administering enterprise scale Citrix environments
* Citrix XenApp 6.5, XenDesktop 5.6 and XenDesktop 7.9 environments (XenDesktop 7.15 knowledge desirable)
* Architecting and implementing global Citrix environments
* Experience with upgrading enterprise Citrix environments
* Excellent knowledge of the physical and logical architectures associated with enterprise level Citrix installations
* Managed virtual machine issues on VMWare ESX 6.5
* Managed machines on PVS 7.9
* Excellent PowerShell Scripting skills (PowerCLI skills desirable)
* Should be able to support Windows 7 and Windows 10 based VDI issues
* Ability to develop and promote new ideas and solutions within the technology stack
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams
* Demonstrated productivity in complex organizations
* Linux VDI (on Citrix), GPU accelerated VDI, DaaS (AWS, Citrix Cloud) is a Nice-to-have
* Excellent communication skills (English)
