Network Engineer - 6 months contract

On behalf of our client, a leading globally-recognized brand within the technology sector in Wallisellen, we are looking for a Network Engineer, with proven hands-on experience. For this 6 month contracting position based in Wallisellen, Switzerland, our client is looking for a German/English speaking candidate who can start ASAP. What will you have to do?
- You will have to be hands-on and be able to configure, install and finally test the assigned infrastructure at the client site. Furthermore, you will be tasked to install and configure software
- L2/L3 server and network troubleshooting, server rack mounting and cable patching/management
- Provide Networking support to clients
- Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents with the required level of detail
- You will own the incident management in order to provide quick resolution to issues as per SLAs.
- Provide telephone support to clients when relevant and update systems
- Produce reports to identify failures and short-comings
What background am I looking for?
- You have the ability to clearly communicate in both English and German (French is an asset).
- You have completed a Degree in Computer Science or related field
- You have between 5-8 years of experience in a System Integrator in Networking, Wireless, Network Optimization, Application Delivery, Network Infrastructure and Security
- Certifications: you have completed Cisco CCNP, LAN/WAN (Cisco), Wireless (Cisco, Meraki or Aruba), Network Optimization (Cisco or Riverbed RCSA or RCSP)
- Network and Applications performance/visibility (Riverbed or Cisco), Application Delivery (Cisco, F5 LTM Advanced) and if possible Security technologies, SDN (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX), security applications (eg Cisco, F5, etc.)
- Knowledge of network virtualization and switching and routing technologies
- Knowledge of availability and high availability protocols, VOIP components and converged networks
- General knowledge of networking, IT systems, security, Servers and Firewalls
- You have a successful track-record of happy clients and have a service-oriented mindse
- You work well within a support team and can also work autonomousl
- You can legally work in Switzerland and have either a relevant work-permit or hold an EU passport
- You have a sense of humor and a smile on your face every day when you come to work
