Application Coordinator - Windows 10 - English - Basel area - Switzerland

NextLink is having an existing position as an Application Coordinator for global projects in Basel area, Switzerland.

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure as direct contact for the IT Function Coordinator the readiness of the application portfolio for the next Windows 10 release. This liaison between the IT Functions and the project is part of the long-term strategy and will be implemented in the operational units. Therefore a close collaboration between the operational support units and the 3rd-level support (delivered by the project, located in Madrid) is key for success. For this, the candidate will be required to understand given application readiness processes, as well as have stakeholder management and cross-work stream collaboration capabilities.

- Latest start date: 25.09.2017

- End date: 15.12.2017

- Work location: Basel area

- Workload: 100%

- Remote/Home Office: max. 1 day per week possible

Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Continuous progress reporting, initiating corrective actions and escalation management (if needed) to ensure timely application readiness

- Close collaboration with the IT Function Coordinators

- Dispatch of incident tickets from 2nd to 3rd level support

- Close collaboration with the remediation team as well as Application Provisioning

- Follow-up on issues involving required resources throughout the project

- Follow-up with Application Owners (if needed)

- Prioritization based on criticality

Must Haves:

- Experience in migration/deployment projects (eg rollout projects), ideally in the application readiness area

- Practical experience in Project Management/Coordination

- University degree in Business Informatics (or equivalent)

- Technical background (would be a big plus)

- Very good communication and people skills

- Ability to liaise with stakeholders from different hierarchy levels

- Independent and self-organized, used to working without direct supervision

- Ability to learn on-the-fly and create good relationships with all project stakeholders

- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking

- Experience in virtual and international team settings

- Business-fluid in English and German (verbally and written - both languages are must haves)

- Familiarity with Windows 10 in enterprise environments

- Practical experience with the Google Office Suite toolset

Nice to Haves:

+++ Background in application testing, ideally test management especially for migration readiness

++ Web development knowledge

++ HPSM user knowledge

++ ITIL (or similar) qualification

+ Spanish, French and/or Polish
