For our client global banking company located in Zurich is looking for a Software Engineer for a 4 Months contract.
Job Description:
Are you passionate about delivering building a robust MS Access solution that integrates with MS Office products and SharePoint? Are you capable to develop an application that supports the underlying business process?
We're looking for someone like that to help us:
- elaborate specific requirements by gathering the input from business
- design and implement a solution that supports the business process
- make sure that the produced code is secure, readable, stable and operational before handover to business as end user application
- development of an MS Access application for Business Risk Management (prototype already in place) in close cooperation with users and in agile style.
Your team
You'll be working in the IT real estate applications team in Zürich Altstetten. In addition you will be closely working with the business team located in Zürich City. We are responsible for the IT delivery of applications and releases for Asset Management/Real Estate funds.
Your experience and skills
You have/are:
- (5 years+) MS ACCESS 2010 developer skills in all areas (MS Access User Interface/Business Logic VBA/Data base modelling.
- good understanding in relational data base.
- good documentation skills (requirements/specification and technical system description)
- knowledgeable on Office 2010 automation (eg Word templates, Excel )
- some knowledge on Share Point and its possibilities to integrate Access into it (Workflow)
- are familiar with having close interaction directly with the business
- strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
You are:
- imaginative and creative with emerging technologies and an ambassador for test- and behavior-driven development
- able to improve existing code bases, as well as apply modern best practices into the solution
- curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team
- fluent in [language(s)): German (a must for business) and English (IT and technical documentation)
