Solution Architect | AWS, Cloud, Security | Basel | 5 Months Initially
Square One are urgently looking fora Solution Architect with Security and AWS experience for a 5 month initial project based in Basel.
The candidate would need to be on-site in Basel at least 4 days every week and the 5th day can be worked remotely.
Required Skills & Experience:
AWS core services, including: Compute and Networking, Storage and CDN, Database, Application Services, Deployment and Management.
Information security management systems and compliance controls
Security controls with the AWS shared responsibility model and global infrastructure
Experience and working knowledge of identity and access management controls
Protection of Data at Rest controls (including cryptographic key management)
Protection of Data in Flight and Network Perimeter controls
Able to design and implement for elasticity and scalability
Network technologies as they relate to AWS networking, including: DNS and load balancing, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and AWS Direct Connect
State management
Database and replication methodologies
Self-healing techniques and fault-tolerant services
Disaster Recovery and fail-over strategies
Application migration plans to AWS
Network connectivity options
Deployment and management
Understanding of common security functions (eg vulnerability management, incident management, secure-configuration management, pen-testing)
Ability to analyse and articulate security in terms of threats, threat actors, attack-vectors, control-objectives, (preventive and detective) controls and risk
Understanding of common attacks (eg XSS, SQL Injection, CSRF, Phishing)
Understanding of common technical security controls (eg 2FA, encryption, certificates, TLS, Perfect Forward Secrecy, data-analytics for incident detection)
Ability to design bespoke defence mechanisms to minimize risk when current-practice mechanisms are not implementable
Ability to solve technical challenges faced by technical teams in implementing controls
