Edelway is a Services Consultancy based in Switzerland. One of our best clients, a global banking company, based in Zurich is currently looking for a Infrastructure Database Administrator.
YOUR ROLE:
*Install, maintain, operate and support the CH MS SQL & Sybase Infrastructure Environment
*Active participation in the resolution of system and performance issues
*Close working relationship with other team members locally and globally to provide understanding across all components of the database environments
*DBA support for development teams and involvement in recommendations for new projects
*Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, high self-motivation, ability to work with minimal guidance
*Knowledge management, including documentation
*OnCall (Pikett) - on call support during weekends
*Testing of new Database releases/Infrastructure components
*Change and Incident Ticket handling
YOUR PROFILE:
*At least 4 years' experience and extensive knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server
*Good knowledge of Windows & SQL Server Clustering based on Windows Server with VERITAS
*Fluent in English
*Knowledge of installing and configuring SQL Server- Reporting Services, Integrations Services, Analysis Services
*Graduate degree or higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
*Intercultural Teamplayer
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
*Sybase knowledge would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite
*German skills
