For our client in Zurich we are looking for an
SAN/NAS Specialist
Start: ASAP
Duration: minimum 6 months
Workload: 100%
Location: Zurich
Skills Required:
- Good Knowledge on ISILON Administration, VMAX, knowledge on RP, Xtrem I/O, Cisco Switches, Unity AFA, ECS
- Knowledge on Brocade and SRM, BMC Remedy/any other Ticketing Tool
- Should have knowledge on ticketing tool like Service Now.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of hardware/software subject matter.
- Customer Service skill.
- Problem solving skills.
- Willingness to work in 24/7 rotating shift including night shifts and handle On-call is a must.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration, as required.
- Responsible for performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and capacity planning for the storage environment.
- Responsible for Performing Day to Day operations like Allocations, Reclamations, setup replications, LUN expansion, migrations, switch errors troubleshooting/maintenance.
- Create RCA's and attend customer calls to discuss the RCA's
- Attend Incident and Problem Management Calls
- Lead and Engage during Sev-1/Sev-2 Calls
- Creating SOP's for Day to Day Activities
- Handling DR and migration related activities
- Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.
- Communicate with peers and managers regarding storage Administration issues.
- Use Scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data.
- Manage Storage Inventory.
- Knowledgeable on Highly virtualized VMware environments
- ITIL Knowledge
