X1 SAN Admin needed for a top Infrastructure vendor working onsite with a Tier1 1 Financial Institution.
Duties
24x7x365 day to day support of enterprise storage systems, disk provisioning, troubleshooting and maintenance. Responsibilities include monitoring the client environment and alerting the customer of potential issues and recommended action in a SAN environment.
SAN Administrator
Skills:
Very good fabric knowledge (Brocade), Cisco (is a plus). (fabric oriented)
highly skilled in Cisco Directors (Brocade knowledge as well is a good to have)
Proficiency in configuring and administering EMC/HDS arrays.
Ability to troubleshoot performance issues on SAN Switches and storage arrays.
Strong Scripting skills using Shell and batch accompanied with excellent data-driven problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience as part of a high performance team, skilled in persuasion, and negotiation of critical issues, along with a background of solid systems administration processes and procedures for SAN environments.
3-5 years of experience with enterprise SAN storage platforms with 1-3 years of experience in EMC or HDS environments.
