Systems Engineer

Our client is a respected Private Bank located in Zürich.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join an AML Project which will involve 3rd Level support as part of the successful integration of the new vendor applications which are used by the bank's Compliance department.
Start date is ASAP
This assignment is planned to be a long-term initiative running into 2018.
Tasks:
- Deliver roadmap of the technology to those sponsoring the Compliance projects
- 3rd Level support of Compliance systems
- Management of third party application providers to ensure all project deadlines are met
- Liaising with member of the Compliance team to understand requirements and project goals
- Successful implementation of vendor systems and ensuring a successful upgrade from those already in use
- Application engineering, development, UNIX packaging & integration of vendor software into the bank's current software
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in AML and Communication Surveillance technologies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of the local regulatory environment in Switzerland
- Experience in software development and software integration
- Experience in 2nd/3rd level support
- Experience in design, deployment and support of small office setups
- Knowledge of Windows/UNIX programming/Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, bash Shell Scripting, PowerShell
- Strong SQL/UDB database skills incl. stored procedures
- Background in software development (Java, JavaScript, C++ or similar) advantageous
- Experience in web technologies such as JBoss, Apache and Tomcat
