Job Title: Senior System Support Specialist

Duration: 12 months + (extensions likely)
Location: Basel, Switzerland
A global pharmaceutical company is currently looking for a Senior System Support Specialist in order to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of data management policies, standards, policies, procedures and protocols that assure ongoing data quality and integrity.
A key part of your role will be to help manage (identify, evaluate, select, engage and oversee) external vendor partner help desk operations to ensure optimal support to internal and external end users and other partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- You will oversee and guide the support to end users (including via telephone, email, face-to-face) and will act as an escalation point for more complex inquiries and support requirements.
- You will also help ensure that more complex, unresolved issues or other inquiries follow the proper escalation process.
- You will partner with internal and external Business Partners to drive strategic alignment and continuous operational and delivery improvements (structure, approach, services).
- You may also be called upon to complete other routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting to keep others abreast of progress relevant to assigned projects or other initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Educated to a degree level (BA/BSc or equivalent preferred).
- Excellent experience in project management (having a certification is a plus).
- Experience in clinical operations and/or clinical systems management.
- Experience in a help desk and/or user support.
- Understanding of regulations involved in drug development.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexibility to travel is mandatory.
