Cobol Programmer
On behalf of our client, a leading global bank, we are looking for an English speaking Cobol Programmer to join the bank's Regulatory tax team. The team reacts to new laws/regulations quickly and adapts the bank's software accordingly.
For this contract position based in Zürich, Switzerland, our client is looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- develop software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
- support the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
- make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager
- manage versions of software artifacts
You must possess:
- extensive experience and knowledge about Cobol and DB2 programming
- banking experience is a must
- applied quality assurance to your deliveries and excel at delivering stable software
- large-scale enterprise design experience
- experience with distributed, highly segregated architectures
- fluent in English (German helps but is optional)
