Our client, an international telecoms company in Zürich is looking for a FTTx Fibre Design Engineer.
This is a contract starting immediately for 1 year.
Main responsibility:
The engineer will be responsible for designing the extension of fiber optical network (footprint
extension) as well as the upgrade of existing networks within a given region.
Additionally this person will need to grant support by phone and email to on site technicians during
splicing and patching and to update as is situation in existing documentation.
Main duties:
Design fiber routing, splicing, patching schemes in passive optical networks, end to end
Central Office/Point of Termination (PoT) until FTTx (homes, cabinets, cans, street, floor, etc.)
Predict required capacities and design future proven networks
Closely collaborate with coaxial design department to align requirements for PON
Your Profile:
If you have experience of Cablescout, that would be an advantage, but this is not mandatory.
Equally, we would give preference to German speakers - again, not mandatory.
This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of this experience and with a telecoms (fixed net)
background.
