For our client in Basel we are looking for a Test Manager for a 14 months project

Place: Basel
Period: ASAP-
Workload: 100%

Location: Basel. Remote work is an option up to 20%, prior approval required.
No travel is expected.
Team size: Total around 60 mambers, but the Test Manager will only be directly working with the Test Team, which he/she would need to coordinate (5 members in Poland & 5 members Budapest).

Background:
The company is currently partially changing their internal HR System (CHRIS) to another cloud based HCM Solution (Workday), which shall be meeting end-users and business needs in a better way. Workday is considered a suitable replacement and offers many additional features to continuously improve the company's HR IT offerings.
The Workday Implementation Project will implement the company's global HR processes in Workday (ie recruiting, onboarding, organizational management, global employee life cycle and personal data management, performance management, compensation management, talent development, succession management, talent analytics).
While the global processes will be implemented in the new cloud solution Workday, the local processes for the large countries (Germany, Switzerland, Unites States and China) will remain on SAP. The same applies to the travel solution used in the Diagnostics division and the global learning administration solutions LSO. With Workday being the leading system, the employee master records and the organizational structure needs to be mirrored from Workday to SAP to fulfil those processes there.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate testing schedule throughout all test phases
* Document strategy and approach document for different test phases
* Develop test plan
* Develop test resourcing plan (cost project team and extended team)
* Manage/oversee execution for End to End, UAT (User Ability Testing), Regression and SRT (Service Rehearsal Testing)
* Act as liaison with Workday for Performance and Simulation testing
* Manage country and shared services resources through test phases to meet exit criteria
* Validate that testing exit criteria is met before the testing stage is deemed completed (provide data to PMO team for reporting) and sign off
* Support the introduction of a defect management tool for tracking issues across the program
* Document entry and exit criteria for stage gates
* Responsible for status reporting

Must Haves:
* Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Test Manager
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in implementing SAP systems and/or cloud-based HR IT systems
* Capability to think strategically, since the testing will be very complex due to the number of systems involved
* Excellent understanding of complex landscapes and relationships (business, systems, policies, etc.)
* Excellent ability to communicate to others not only what is being done and how, but also why (also communication to senior management)
* Estimating and planning tests, defect management, Reporting, reviewing test documents (test plans, test cases, test procedures)
* Executing tests, documentation, analysis, planning testing approach and estimating effort; creating manual functional test scripts, analysing testing results; fault analysis and management
* Managing acceptance testing
* Cooperating with managing, testing and development team
* Knowledge support for the new team member and for the team
* High proficiency in working virtually is a must.

Nice to Haves:
+++ Experience in Workday HR Software
+++ Experience in multi-site deployment project
+ Former pharma experience (ideally having worked together with one or more business functions and IT in the past)
