For our client, an international company in the Medical Industry based in the Area of Zürich we are looking for aWindows System Engineer
Main Tasks:
You maintain the local IT infrastructure and keep the infrastructure up to date.
You are responsible for the implementation and operational support of all aspects of client's Virtualization Infrastructure including desktops, thin clients, application virtualization and client image.
Contributes to development of our client IT by participating in international projects and you your provide hands on technical assistance to client and server systems
From time to time you are responsible for the on site Support (2nd and 3rd Level Support)
Help with the VDI environment of our client in Europe (about 300 users)
You work within a global team to support end users and client devices domestically and internationally
Furthermore you assist and support the client services team in other areas as requested by the line manager
You install, configure, build and maintain VMware products including Horizon View, App Volumes and Desktop Virtualization
Moreover you provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of the client Virtualization Infrastructure and supports major Virtualization Infrastructure expansion projects
Minimum education/experience:
5 years related experience in System Engineering or as System Administrator
You have a degree in computer science or a equivalent education
A VMware Virtualization technology certification would be desirable
Technical experience with Intel based servers and PCs/laptops, Windows server , Windows Client OS, MS Office Suite, Citrix, VMware, VDI storage in general and networking
Furthermore you have knowledge of Horizon View configuration, troubleshooting and basic VSphere knowledge
You are team player, mature, tactful, highly motivated and have a positive attitude
Excellent listening and customer service skills
Furthermore you speak fluently English and German
Location: Cham - Switzerland
Duration: starting asap for 3 months (optional extension)
