For our client, a company in the medial industry, we are looking for a:
Windows Embedded Engineer
Main tasks:
- Find a solution on how to roll out more than 600 offline updates to more than 1000 customers worldwide
- Making sure that your approach ensures that the devices are in a controlled state, eg all updates applied successfully, list of not applied updates & guidance for Field Service Engineer on how to bring the device back to a controlled state in case something went wrong.
- Define strategy for offline updating of operating system image (Windows Embedded Standard 7), ie apply updates provided by Microsoft
- Define the mid & long-term strategy for keeping standalone medical devices up-to-date.
- Implement your update strategy in our existing software update packaging approach
- Optional: Define strategy for offline updating/migration of operating system image (WES7 -> Windows 10 Embedded)
- Optional: Creating PMQs for new hardware components
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in configuring, building and especially maintaining Windows Embedded Standard 7 images delivered to in-field, standalone devices that are not connected to the Internet
- Knowledge of ICE, DSIM & Windows PE
