Network System Engineer (100%), Basel - Pharmaceutical
Are you a Network System Engineer Specialist with proven experience in Windows and/or Linux system administration and looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company? If so, please have a look at the following details:
Experis IT Switzerland, a leading Swiss IT company is currently on the search for a Network System Engineer to join one of their clients, a global and well renowned pharmaceutical company based in Basel.
For this temporary assignment starting from July until the end of the year we are in search of an English speaking candidate who is available on a very short notice period.

Your responsibilities:
In this challenging role, the Network System Engineer will support and administer VMware ESX server infrastructure incl. VMware Virtual center and peripheral virtualization technologies in backup, disaster, discovery and replication. Furthermore you will be responsible for providing virtualization technology solutions to existing problems. Additionally, you will support and improve system environment and services (ie capacity planning and automation). At least the senior ESX System Engineer will write all related documentation (validation docs, systems proposals/recommendation etc.).
Your profile:
- VMware Certified Advanced Professional or Data Center Administration certified (eg VCAP5-DCA or VCAP4-DCA)
- 7 years' experience in Windows and/or Linux system administration within a global enterprise environment
- 5 years' experience of VMware ESX management
- 2 years with hybrid cloud expertise (AWS or other public cloud)
- PowerShell Scripting with PowerCLI
- Fluency in English
