for a Senior Enterprise Architect (f/m)


Project environment

To support the running strategic projects within a Swiss Private Bank, the Central Architect will be part of the “Architect Office”-Team and collaborates with the assigned Solution Architects and Lead Developer.


Tasks

In general:
• The Central Architect ensures that the relevant architecture guidelines and architecture principles are defined and observed.

Conceptual designs:
• Support building a solid foundation (patterns, standards and guidelines) for multi-channel with respect to the complexity, solution space, considering the constraints (budget, time, roadmap etc.).
• Elaborate concepts to integrate 3rd Party applications into the strategic channels (integration patterns for existing and 3rd party applications).
• Define standards and guidelines for Front, Service and Business Layers development (best practice) along of the roadmap.
• Elaborate / enhance existing concepts of the configuration and release management for multi-channel context.

Implementation of a new SOA Framework:
• Common cross-channel and domains components have to be implemented.
• Elaborate a framework with the relevant common patterns such as integration and interaction patterns, exception handling, service location, helper classes etc.

Strategic Projects:
• Representing the Design Authority (Architects Office).
• Quality control.
• Monitoring debt register.
• Support the Solution Architect and the IT Project Manager with the technical project work.
• Verify that the solution is compliant with the architecture standards, principle and guidelines and escalate if necessary (e.g. Review of the implementation and assure the alignment of the documentation.).
Others
• Close collaboration with Business Key Stakeholders and other Key Subject Matter Experts.
• Communicating and liaising with Key Business Stakeholders and IT Stakeholders.
• Support of Business Analysis and Requirement Engineering.


Requirements

Architectural Competency:
• Knowledge in Computer Science and Information Technology (frameworks, program languages, technology trends).
• Experience in modern application architecture (patterns, SOA, architecture methods and principles, conceptual work).
• Experience in application development, systems design/deployment, conceptual work.

Technical Competency:
• Web Application (Architecture and Development) including Enterprise and Multi-Tier Architecture.
• Modelling (data, conceptual design) like UML.
• Programming languages like Java and JavaScript.
• Methods like SCRUM, RUP.

Desirable:
• Experience in Project Management.
• Experienced with the Configuration- and Release Management.
• Experience in Application Lifecycle Management.
• Experience in Banking (Wealth Management and Advisory, Portfolio Management, Portfolio Optimization, Suitability Testing).
• EdgeConnect knowledge.


Soft skills

• Fluent written and spoken English, German as an additional asset.
• Ability to set an example for team members by portraying self-motivation, a focus on client delivery, preparedness, organization, a positive attitude and respect for others.
• Excellent analytical and visualization skills.
