For a longer term project at our client, an international Bank in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

German speaking Senior Java Software Engineer – JSF, EJB, JPA, JMS (3497)

The ideal candidate will analyze requirements specification and technical solutions from the Solution Architect. Additionally, an essential task in this position is to program codes and conduct units as well as system tests. Furthermore, the candidate will lead the team and advice partners abroad and discuss the software development with them.

Your Responsibilities

- Develop Java Business Logic components by using EJB, JPA, JMS
- Create Java User Interfaces with JSF
- Improve units as well as systems by preparing and running tests
- Compose technical documentation, based on delivered results
- Analyze defects and test environment and fix them
- Create solution proposals and estimations

Your qualifications:

- University Degree in IT or similar graduation
- At least 8 years’ experience in software engineering, especially with EJB 3.x, JSF 2.x, JMS, JPA, JUnit, SQL/PL-SQL, XML, Web-Services, MQ-Series
- Certification in design patterns
- Knowledge in the implementation of applications on the Java application platform
- Experience in working with Eclipse IDE, SVN, JIRA, Enterprise Architect 9.x, Oracle DB, Linux/Unix shell, Maven, Weblogic
- Experience in planning and leading national and international teams
- Knowledge in Banking, preferably in securities, single accounts and bookkeeping as well as US Withholding tax and FACTA Reporting
- Fluent in English and German
