An experienced L2 Wintel Support Engineer is required for a 2 to 3 Month contract based in Geneva, Switzerland starting on the 2nd of November.
The Successful candidate for this role will fit the following Job spec:
Overview
In this role you will take responsibility for providing 2nd Line Infrastructure Support across a Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare and Citrix.
Your responsibilities and duties in this position will include but are not limited to the following:
Resolve support issues escalated from first-line support
You will be top line of escalation internally with complete ownership of 2nd line technical issues and liaison with 3rd party clients and external vendors
Support and administer technologies including Windows Server , Citrix Xenapp, Exchange, Active Directory
Account administration of all core office systems
Problem solving PC/Server hardware and OS issues
To Assist and complete operational tasks, data management, incident logging, reporting, systems monitoring, systems testing and disaster recovery as require
Ensures that appropriate standards are adhered to, providing technical support and undertaking technical project work.
Provide training and guidance to junior level staff.
Follow the ITSM process including Knowledge Management

Industry standard certifications
- Good familiarity with the ITIL framework
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivery in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work cross functionally to meet local and corporate goals.
Demonstrable expertise in managing:
Microsoft Active Directory
SCCM/Altiris or similar software
Microsoft Operating Systems and network technologies
Microsoft Scripting and group polices
Microsoft Exchange administration and maintenance
Detailed knowledge of:
Industry standard desktop applications
Knowledge of Windows Server
PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals
