For our client, a globally active firm headquartered in CH - Zug, we are looking to staff a Project Controls Engineer to start on 01 July, 2018Job Description
• Communicate project progress and other issues to project manager
• Planning and forecasting duties and continuous monthly rolling forecast for project, cost, time and scope
• Support the preparation of cost estimates and produce accurate and unbiased cost forecasts at a detailed and summary level for the final cost
• Preparation and update of project time schedule in MSP, project reports and writing of protocols
• Establish and monitor the critical path in the project master and update subproject schedules
• Identify early warning of adverse cost, schedule, quality trends and ensure that corrective actions are taken by performing "plan-actuals-forecast analysis
• Update and monitor risk register and change order log
• Preparation and update of project documentation (PEP, Project Controls Plan etc.)
• Documentation of projects concerning approvals, release, planned and actual value
• Support project manager to secure resource requirements
• Manpower planning - review and monitoring of working hours
• Assisting in development and training of the relevant staff in project controls topics
Must Haves
• Bachelor Degree or higher, preferably in engineering
• 5+ years of engineering/construction related experience, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, successfully managing large and complex projects
• Completed significant CAPEX projects successfully (as a Project Controls Engineer) over the last 5 years
• Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, team-building and collaboration skills
• Experience in project management including implementation of risk & interface management and management of complex projects
• English advanced
