For our client, a globally active firm headquartered in CH - Zug, we are looking to staff a Technical Writer to start on 01 May, 2018Job Description
• Writes and updates end User Documentation and Service Documentation in English for Roche instruments and software while respecting project requirements and documentation standards
• Plan, develops, organizes and edits operational procedures for user and service documentation
• Independently collects information required to produce the documents
• Cooperates closely with documentation managers, service personnel, trainers, developers and other subject matter experts
• Organizes documentation reviews by subject matter experts, and implements their input
• Ensures that quality targets, timelines and regulatory requirements are respected
• Is enthusiastic about technical writing and contributes to frequent discussions aimed at the continuous improvement of our processes and guidelines
Must Haves
• Apprenticeship and/or undergraduate degree in an electrical, mechanical, information technology or linguistic discipline; further education e.g. in technical documentation is a plus
• Proven experience in technical writing (at least 5 years) for software applications, preferably in a diagnostics business environment
• Familiarity with laboratory systems and environments
• Proven experience with Adobe FrameMaker (structured) or a similar authoring tool
• Experience with Schema ST4 or a comparable content management system
• Familiarity with software development processes
• Experience with iterative/agile software development methods
