Title: UX Designer for Data Exploration Tools
Location: Zurich
Duration: 12 months
Workload: 100% (40h/week)
We're looking for a great UX designer to work with a team that builds internal tools for interactive visual exploration of data. The ideal candidate enjoys learning about enterprise users and their roles, goals, tools and processes, and being an advocate for them. The designer will work closely with product managers, engineers, other designers, researchers and expert users to analyze problems, visualize ideas with mockups, validate designs with research studies and iterate to distill complex workflows into elegant user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality, end-to-end designs for components and whole products - from concept to execution.
- Work closely with PM, Eng and UX teammates to establish features, solve complex design challenges and resolve loose ends in the UI.
- Partner with researchers and conduct studies to understand users and validate designs.
- Review working products, give feedback and post bug reports to address UX flaws.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong core interaction design skills
- Knowledge and practice of user-centered design methodologies
- Comfortable with generating creative solutions for complex design challenges
- Strong portfolio including work on web interfaces for professional tools or enterprise applications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Expert using Sketch, Illustrator, etc.
- Excellent visual design skills
- Experience applying style guides and design frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in data analysis and visualization
- Experience working with UX, Product Management, and Research partners
- Perform at a high level with little guidance
- Make decisions based on objective information and sound principles - communicate according to well-reasoned analysis
