Role: Technical Operations Project Manager

Location: La Chaux de Fonds

Duration: 1 year

Description: The Technical Operations Project Manager leads our IT client's factory and local supply chain activities from development through Mass Production. This includes Electronics assembly (SMT), PCBA and unit test, and Final Assembly of complex, luxury wearable electronics products.

Responsibilities

. Provides sustained on-site support of multiple programs at a factory location or locations.
. Responsible for driving and/or verifying CM execution of SOW requirements, build preparations, and process adherence.
. Provides escalation point for manufacturing engineering if yields are impacted by personnel (training) or factory process, as necessary
. Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) build readiness and execution.
. Builds relationship with factory management and functional leads to ensure awareness of business requirements, appropriate resourcing to programs, and execution.
. Supervises maintenance and disposition of company assets.
. Focal for any line down or ship hold activities, including failure analysis, corrective action definition and implementation, material disposition between company engineering and factory
. Leads End of Production process and deliverables
. Drive E & O closure at end of production
. Integral part of high level planning process for RFQ distribution, capacity and capabilities assessments
. Leads Quarterly Business Reviews for products in production
. Focal point for coordination across programs within a factory or factories in region (Switzerland), maximizing purchasing power and ROI for capital equipment
. Drives manufacturing and supply chain continual improvement.

Qualifications

. At least 7 years "hands on" operational (in factory) experience manufacturing complex consumer electronics, preferred experience with wearable products
. Extensive onsite experience managing global manufacturing suppliers in Europe
. Proven success working in a startup, high growth environment, experience leading small cross functional teams composed of both internal and external resources
. Fluency in French and English required, additional fluency in German preferred
. Proven experience leading successful EVT and DVT build events in a European factory
. Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes including pick & place, solder reflow, Package on package (POP)
. Experience with final assembly process including assembly and test fixture design and implementation
. Experience with leak detection processes for watches including deflection and pressure differential testing
. Familiar with advanced Shop Floor Control systems for reporting quality statistics, routing control, etc.
. Ability to travel between multiple factories in Switzerland and Austria
