Windows 10 Solution Architect
Activities:
- Ensure implemented solutions are in line with overall IT strategy and compliant with other technologies.
- Conduct technical and feasibility assessments of requests and communicate results.
- Solutions are properly documented and kept up to date (Design, Interfaces, Security and Processes)
- Actively communicate with peers and other teams
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creation of high level and detailed design documentation:
- Windows 10 Client configuration
- Windows 10 Group Policy design
- Windows 10 Client Security design
- Windows 10 Servicing/Maintenance and release design
- Windows 10 Client Remote Access Design
- Office 365 Client Configuration
- Office 365 Group Policy Design
- Carry out prototyping, proofs of concept, and technology and/or product evaluation related to Windows 10.
- Actively support project managers with all technical aspects of the project.
- Ensure business requirements are documented and scope changes are properly managed.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven engineering/architecture experience (minimum 5 years) with the following products or technologies
- Windows 7/8/10 Client Deployment and Management
- Windows Group Policy Management (Windows 7/8/10)
- Client Virtualization: Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2/Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2
- Microsoft Office Suite 2013/Office 365
- Windows PowerShell Scripting
- Office 365 (Cloud Services)
- Familiar with Windows 10 Servicing options (CB, LTSB)
- Familiar with Windows 10 Feature stack
- Capable of writing architecture type documents
- Good understanding of Enterprise Change Management processes.
