Saltstack Systems Manager, Banking
For our client, an international bank with a global reach, Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated Systems Manager with experience engineering and deploying Saltstack as part of a global deployment project for over 100k endpoints in Zurich.
This is a 12 month contract with a strong chance of renewal starting in August/September 2016.
As a member of the Server Automation team, you will be play a key role in the agile delivery of automation solutions for infrastructure and software delivery. You will contribute to a fast moving scrum team, working closely together with your team mates in a self-deterministic environment to turn requirements into end product with a high level of quality and integrity.
Specific responsibilities include:

Engineer cloud (IaaS, PaaS) solutions

Be involved in solution architecture and design
-
Be member of an agile scrum team
-
Provide 3rd level support for production issues

Play a key role in the decommissioning of Legacy systems and adoption of new systems
As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills and experience:
-
Proven engineering and implementation experience with Saltstack
-
Experience with operating system engineering/administration on both platform Linux (RHEL 5, 6, 7) and Windows server (2008, 2012) environments, proficiency in Linux is desirable

Proven track record of designing scalable multi-location infrastructure platforms

Good understanding of open source projects available for systems management space

Experience with both consumption and creating of Web Services (SOAP, REST)

Practical experience with networking concepts (switching, routing, Firewalls, etc.)

Strong programming/Scripting skills in Python and/or Unix Shell

Good communication skills & fluency in English
