Banking Financial Controller Job in Zurich
A respected tier-1 investment banking client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a job opportunity in Zurich.
Due to internal restructuring, this bank requires a new Financial Controller to work in the bank's Language and Translation services department. This department services both the private and investment banking divisions with all their translation needs.
As the Financial Controller in Zurich your role will have a dual focus.
First of all you will be responsible for providing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on the KPIs. As well as providing monthly, quarterly and yearly reports of expenses charged for selected clients. You will also be responsible for dealing with ad-hoc reports requested by various stakeholders, as well as preparing key figures including costs, budgets and reporting.
Secondly, as the Financial Controller you will be responsible for a project within the language and translation services which will move to a new costing model. You will be required to tweak this new costing model to come up with the most accurate option. You will be working alongside the line manager and will play a big part in the development of the Language and Translation department. You will not just be required to perform standard controlling tasks but also aspects of project management.
You will come with 2+ years of banking controlling experience and be someone who has a very good grasp of numbers. Also required is someone who possesses very good excel skills including pivot tables, v-look-ups, and good macro skills. You will be able to work quickly and accurately with financial data. You should also be able to work well in a team environment as this department very much has team feel to it.
Fluency in German and English is required.
