Service Transition Consultant - ZURICH - £650 - £750 PD

Our customer a leading technology vendor have a major transition project underway way with a large financial services client and they are looking for a senior transition consultant to join their team and lead the service transition. The ideal candidate will be German speaking and will have extensive ITIL experience.

The role of The Service Transition Consultant

  • Supports the development and implementation of a Service Transition Plan;
  • Coordinating Service Transition activities across projects, suppliers and service teams working with Project Managers;
  • Manages Service Due Diligence projects designed to capture and document all information related the Customer's organizational structure, business practices and processes;
  • Maintaining and monitoring progress for service transition changes, issues, risks and deviations, including tracking on actions and mitigation of risks;
  • Maintaining records and providing management information on resource use, project, service transition progress, budgeted and actual spend;
  • Communicating with stakeholders;
  • ensuring the final delivery of each service transition work package meets the agreed customer and stakeholder requirements in the service design package;
  • Managing the development of any interim (transition) processes and procedures;
  • Supporting the implementation of Order Entry, Service Asset, Change Management and Service provisioning processes;
  • Where applicable assuming responsibility for on-boarding new customers on to the Change Management and Service Asset, Configuration & Inventory Management functions;
  • Managing the Knowledge Transfer process;
  • Supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive Service Transition communications program, both internally within the company and across The Customer's organization;
  • Leading the development of Operations Manuals to meet contractual requirements within the outsourcing environment;
  • Providing early life support for key operational activities such as Change Management and Service Asset & Configuration Management as required;

Process Development

Process development will be required as an integral part of a Service Transition Program, the responsibilities include:-

  • Supporting the development of the customer facing Process and Procedures manuals
  • Supporting the development and integration of new or improved business processes according to ITIL guidelines, the scope of the process set will include:-

    • Event Management
    • Capacity Management
    • Availability Management
    • Contract Management
    • SLA Management
    • Order Management
    • Financial Management
    • Billing Management
    • Supplier Management

    • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
    • Communicating and providing training of processes to internal and Customer staff
    • Extensive experience in a similar role in the IT/Service Integration environment;
    • Previous experience in managing business Due Diligence projects focused on a customer's IT organization, business practices and processes;
    • Experience in business analysis and process development;
    • ITIL Certification - at Intermediate level;
    • ITIL Certification - at Expert level;

Skills and ExperienceEssential

  • Extensive experience in a similar role in the IT/Service Integration environment;
  • Previous experience in managing business Due Diligence projects focused on a customer's IT organization, business practices and processes;
  • Experience in business analysis and process development;
  • ITIL Certification - at Intermediate level;
  • ITIL Certification - at Expert level;
