For our banking client based in Zurich we are currently looking for a
Project Leader for work stream operational Readiness
Location: Zurich
Start: ASAP
Duration: 5 months
Languages: English and German is an advantage
Overview of the Business Area:
- The department provides an internal source of consulting, program and project management capabilities within the Bank, helping the organization plan and execute major initiatives by employing industry best practices.
- The group consists of 160+ consulting and program specialists, with presence in all major regions (Switzerland, EMEA, New York and APAC).
- The team predominantly supports global cross-divisional projects across the bank (excl. Investment Banking). We are positioned to deliver complete solutions for a wide range of business needs - from strategy development to large scale program delivery.

Our projects cover a wide range of topics from regulatory, organizational design, efficiency and process improvement and IT implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Member of project management for key projects within the bank
- Work stream responsibility for the planning, managing and coordinating of a project stream on operational readiness of functions ie ramp-up and transitions as well as alignment of shared services such as Finance, HR, IT and Operations within a re-organization
- Actively challenging work stream plans, content and spotting issues
- Responsibility for developing project documents and reporting for project management updates for senior management
- Resolving issues and producing various project documents on time
- Advising work stream leaders to deliver in time with high quality and with effective and efficient resource and cost management
- Responsibility to support work stream leaders on a day-to-day basis
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- University degree (business and/or legal preferably)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in project management, consulting or similar functions in financial services or management consulting
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders across multiple disciplines
- Fluency in English
- Strong sense of ownership
- Works with limited supervision, is proactive
- Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Customer-oriented attitude, flexibility and adaptability
- Team player with communication and negotiation skills
