Following a highly successful year, my client is currently seeking an experienced Electronics/EMC test engineer to join their team based in Zurich, Switzerland.
My client specialises in the design & manufacture of space & satellite products and systems and is therefore ideally seeking someone who can demonstrate knowledge in this area.
Some key information regarding the position is as follows:
Tasks
*Responsible for the planning and execution of manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing (MAIT) of electronics hardware for space projects.
*Design test setups for electronics hardware tests and organise all necessary test equipment, test jigs, cabling & ground support equipment (GSE).
*Perform functional performance tests on electronics hardware at both board level and unit level.
*Perform environmental tests (thermal vacuum, vibration, mechanical shock) on hardware units.
*Perform EMC tests on hardware units.
*Write test procedures and test reports.
Skills & Knowledge
*Space MAIT experience for electronics hardware.
*Electronics test experience for space flight model hardware.
*Fluent in English (written and spoken)
*Experience of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing, and environmental testing (vibration, shock and thermal vacuum)
*Proficiency with MS Office is a must, SAP is an advantage
*Knowledge of German would be an advantage but is not essential
