For our customer Roche Diagnostics Int Ltd in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly Documentation Manager

Background

Within the Global Customer Support Knowledge & Learning Solutions (KLS) organization, the Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Point of Care Documentation Department provides customer-facing content for diagnostic devices in these medical areas. Our deliverables are evolving from traditional technical documentation to state-of-the-art reusable content, created in a component content management system and distributed to multiple output channels through a content delivery platform.
The perfect candidate has a degree in communication and at least 3 years experience in creating and managing content/documentation, ideally in a highly regulated environment..
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Leads international documentation projects independently and according to Roche documentation standards, while respecting budget, quality targets, project schedules and regulatory requirements
* Plans, coordinates and monitors the contributions of all documentation project team members (e.g., internal and external writers, terminologist) to ensure project delivery. Adapts the project plan according to project needs
* Establishes communication between the Technical Writer and the Risk Manager, ensuring that all relevant product risks and their mitigations are described in the documentation
* Ensures efficient and constructive collaboration and communication between different Roche departments inside and outside of GCS, and if applicable, with external companies
* Represents the interests of the Documentation Department in project-related meetings. Advises on appropriate tools and process for efficient documentation and localization, negotiates timelines, budget and quality of deliverables
* Creates and maintains the Documentation Concept, defining the documentation project scope in alignment with relevant stakeholders
* Plans and aligns the initial project budget with line management and the Business Area. Tracks and monitors assigned budget throughout the year, and proactively informs line management on expected deviations. Adapts documentation project scope to available budget on line manager request
* Coordinates the approval and publication of released documentation deliverables
* Contributes to the continuous growth of product terminology in close collaboration with the terminologist assigned to the product
* Leads localization projects for software and documentation, in collaboration with software development, translation vendors, and Roche affiliates, according to project schedules and Roche localization standards
* Acts as consultant and provides training to external vendors and Roche affiliates on software tools and processes used
* Uses knowledge and expertise to proactively contribute to regular updates of documentation tools, processes, and standards, in collaboration with other documentation departments and relevant stakeholders
* May be responsible for technical writing tasks
* Manages complaint (e.g., CAPAs) related updates and documents corrective measures in relevant tool
Must Haves:
* Degree in communication, translation Management, Project Management or a related discipline, or comparable working experience in a documentation position (*****)
* Min. 3-4 years experience in creating or managing engaging content/documentation, ideally in Biotech industry or highly regulated environment (*****)
* Professional experience of 3-5 years of successfully managing projects in an international context (*****)
* Experience with content creation tools, content management systems, content delivery platforms, and computer-assisted translation tools (SDL translation tools) (*****)
* Excellent spoken and written command of English (native speaker or equivalent level)
* Strong influencing, networking and stakeholder management skills with both technical and business groups
* Ability to communicate in an international environment with subject matter experts from different functional areas
* Experienced in Budget Management, time-scope oriented and result-oriented working style
* Willingness to proactively adapt to new tools, technologies, and ways of working
* Independent, reliable and flexible working style and good team player
* Proven ability to work across cultures and to adapt to change in various cultural environments
Nice to Have:
