Source Group are currently working side a leading Brand in Europe who are looking to hire a Freelance Engineering Lead / Senior Python Developer. The role is fully remote, from anywhere across Europe.This is Senior role, with full oversight over the Development of integral applications.
Initially a 12 months contract but there is an opportunity to continue for a number of years as an External or Internal.
Responsibilities:
- Lead developement of applications
- Work with a cross-functional agile team to shape and release new product features
- Guide platform architecture and best practices
- Lead and hire a remote development team based in multiple time zones
Essential Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- 2+ years of prior experience leading a software development team
- Ability to independently define technical solutions from business requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Professional experience with Python and C/C++
- Professional experience with Unix operating systems, particularly Ubuntu
- Professional experience with SQL databases, particularly SQLite and Postgres
- Professional experience with both cloud and on premises architectures
