IT- Risk Developer (Contract)Location: Basel, Switzerland
Contract: 6 months + extension
Our client is looking for a Senior developer able to take ownership of the responsibilities and deliver on regular basis following agile methodologies and to have ideally a financial services experience or understanding.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- contribute to the continued development of the Risk IT system stack into an agile architecture based on small loosely coupled services
- enable credit checking for the new Asset Management system
Must haves:
- Very strong working development experience in an Object-Oriented language such as C#, Java or C++ and a willingness to work on a C# codebase (C# is preferred). We would ideally prefer a candidate coming with financial sector experience. (*****)
- Strong working knowledge of common algorithms and data structures and design patterns. We would expect the candidates to have a good understanding of design patterns and an ability to prove their delivery skills. (*****)
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server etc. (all listed databases are at the same level in terms of expected experience) (*****)
- Previous experience in the financial services industry will be a strong advantage for the candidate (direct financial services exposure within a bank or financial / insurance institution, or experience within an outsourcing / external company providing software/development to financial organizations/institutions)
- Good knowledge of the English language
