For a long-term project at our client’s site (home office possible within Switzerland), an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a
Informatica PowerCenter Platform Engineer – Data Warehouse
You will be part of the team which provides several enabling services like the Swiss Data Warehouse and the Global Informatica Shared Platforms. These are used by many key applications across the bank.
Your Qualifications:
- 6+ years of IT experience in a corporate environment with strong knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter Platform
- Expertise in installing, operating & supporting Informatica PowerCenter on Linux (both from administration & development side), preferably in a large environment
- Good overall knowledge of the complete Informatica product stack
- Intermediate to advanced experience in infrastructure / client support of an Informatica (or similar) environment
- Solid experience with Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), good work experience with Linux and Oracle Data Warehouse environment and basic knowledge of SQL
- Experience in IT infrastructure engineering including OS/security/storage configuration, capacity management as well as shell scripting & automation
- Good know-how in other data integration products like Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Pentaho & Denodo Data Virtualization
- Ability to provide high quality documentation & conceptual work
- Good problem-solving skills, self-motivated and a good team player
- Work self-directed and comfortable supporting the needs of multiple teams, systems and products
- Understanding of service management is a plus
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and operate an Informatica PowerCenter shared platform
- Take part in daily tasks like monitoring, perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis & solution development
- Create and manage users, groups and folders & ensure appropriate privileges are assigned to the different users/groups
- Perform project code deployment between environments and work on automated processes
- Onboard new Informatica projects and help them get started
- Coordinate with the internal team and Informatica vendor for patches and bug fixes
