DevOps Engineer, permanent position, GenevaAre you a passionate engineer with interest in reliability and automation?
On behalf of our client based in Geneva, Michael Bailey Associates is looking for DevOps Engineers for their Compliance Domain to deliver software products faster and more reliably.
Role details:
* Integrate and review the developments of the technical teams (Agile methodology);
* Provide level 3 support for applications developed within the department; intervene to unblock production, reproduce incidents and coordinate the deployment of fixes until the issues are resolved.
* Perform back-end and/or rich front-end development for several mission-critical applications, with a variety of functionalities and using the latest technologies.
* Understand the development process holistically and liaise between the development and operational teams.
* Ensure the application of best practices in development and industrialization
* Ensure the application and evolutionary maintenance of the solutions under review.
* Work in close collaboration with the Technical Architect on the choice of solutions and technical upgrades.
* Write and communicate technical specifications, contribute to the various product backlogs.
* Implement and monitor software quality metrics.

Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience with Java development
* Experience with software integration and coordination
* Strong experience with application debugging and incident resolution
* Experience with microservices and APIs
* Experience with relational DBs (Oracle, Postgres)
* Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Bamboo, Rundeck, Git, Sonar) is a plus
* Knowledge of containers and orchestrators; Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
* Interest in finance; good financial & compliance controls knowledge is an advantage
