Quant Developer - Python & Java vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Master Studies in a technical discipline (Math, Computer Science Engineering or Physics)
- 7+ years of experience with Python and its ecosystem including quant related libraries with a focus on developing code without using C/C++
- 3+ years of financial industry experience, alongside an expertise with financial time series and products and ability to understand and solve data quality issues in financial products
- Coding skills in Java are a must have
- Knowhow of API design, related technologies such as OpenAPI, Swagger, REST, gRPC and relevant Python libraries like FastApi, Flask and Pydantic
- Sound knowledge of portfolio optimization techniques and theory, including principles of risk management in finance
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Translating high level business requirements into quantitative models
- Implementing requirements, with particular focus on scalability, stability, automated testing
- Interacting with an international team of developers, architects, quantitative investment professionals
- Implementing cutting-edge technologies and approaching portfolio construction, trade recommendation, asset allocation
