Systems Engineer Time-Series Database vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.
Your tasks:
- Being responsible for the operation and maintenance of the company's high-performance Time-Series Database
- Establishing reliable flow and integration of data from internally and externally sourced data
- Maintaining interfaces for the incoming and outgoing data to and from the database
- Ensuring availability, integrity, and quality of data through automation while also building and maintaining monitoring tools to guarantee system health
- Cooperating with multiple cross-functional engineering teams to identify and address data gaps or inconsistencies
- Overseeing deployments in all environments as well as managing CI/CD tools
Your experience/knowledge:
- 3+ years working in Devops, including Shell Scripting and System managed services
- Familiarity with creating rpm packages and understanding deployments by satellite Servers
- Expertise in managing Linux based infrastructure combined with working knowledge of systems engineering in Financial Industry
- Good Scripting skills in compliance with a thorough understanding of Git
- Well-versed with Agile Methodology along with proficiency in Continuous Delivery
- English, fluent in written and spoken; German would be an advantage
