Senior JAVA Software Engineer
Are you an experienced JAVA Software Engineer interested in joining a brand new team that will be developing a new Fixed Income platform for a leading bank in Switzerland? Are you interested in creating the design, developing the application and working closely with very smart business users? Are you available to start a new JAVA Software Engineer contract within the next month? If so this could be the perfect Senior JAVA Software Engineer position for you.
You will be joining a newly created Scrum team located in Bern that will be focussed on the delivery of a new application that manages the true sale of loans to external investors. The application will allow the ownership of these loans to be sold and handle everything in connection with the sale. Although it has a small user base, the Senior JAVA Software Engineer will speak and discuss the requirements with the business as well as Product Owners and create an elaborate, sustainable and scalable application.
Technically this will entail following a Dev Ops mindset to delivery, whilst working in a Scrum team. Technology wise, the focus is on JAVA JEE development, making use of Spring Boot, Microservices for both the batch processing as well as UI components. Alongside good Server Side skills any exposure to Front End tech including Angular or React would be highly desirable.
Although the business area is complex and highly interesting, the key focus is on technical skills, as such Senior JAVA Software Engineers from outside of financial services will be considered.
The team currently have budget until the end of the year, so you will be joining on an initial contract until the end of the year, however given the strategic component of this role - there is an expectation that this rolls on until the end of 2023 and there is possibility for internalisation.
