Senior Software Engineer - Java/Scala

Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to assist in the development of the Publication Data Platform within a Swiss media company.
This is a 12-month contract based in Zürich
Main responsibilities
- Processing and storage of heterogeneous publication-relevant data from various production and planning applications
- Merging and linking of data and provision through flexible, expandable APIs
Your skills
- 5 years of experience with an object-oriented and functional programming language such as Java, Scala or Python
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, ideally Apache Avro
- Experience with AWS (IAM, EKS, ECR, Cognito, CodeBuild)
- DevOps experience, Git
- Experience in agile software development with Scrum
- Provision of a GraphQL API
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kibana
- Experience with build tools, eg SBT, as well as continuous integration and delivery
- Fluent in both German and English
