SQL Sever/ BI Developer vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the financial sector.This is an excellent opportunity to gain strong business knowledge and subject matter expertise in the Securities Lending and Repo area, as you will need to liaise directly with the users or management for business requirements. As a part of a global team, you will also create solutions and solve problems through existing knowledge or research rather than peer guidance.
Your experience/skills:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQLServer as a developer including query performance tuning
- Expert knowledge of SSAS tabular model development and DAX
- Good working knowledge of PowerBI and MS Excel pivot tables
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Windows Server, Power BI Report Server (PBRIS)
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Developing and maintaining SQLServer database schemas, queries and stored procedures, Tabular Business Intelligence models developed in SSAS PowerBI reports and dashboards, DAX queries and formulae
- Capturing business requirements in the form of User Stories, onboarding the reporting solution to the firm's deployment pipeline
- Working directly with Business users at all levels on small projects, as well as assisting the 3rd level support team on high priority support incidents
- Preparing and deploying release packages to UAT environments
- Arranging release documentation and ensuring that release candidates meet the requirements of the change approval board and presenting change requests at the approval board on a regular basis
