For our client in the Pharma industry based in Region Basel we are looking for a Digital Biomarker Data Manager, with experience in the medical research or database design and development. Pharma Research and Early Development Informatics team is the bridge between digital technology and science. We help drive medical innovation and are integral to the realisation of truly Personalised Healthcare and the development of innovative treatments for our patients.
Digital tools, such as smartphones or wearables, can now continually measure and collect vital health information - or "Digital Biomarkers". Digital Biomarkers are changing how future medicines will be developed and could lead to more personalized use of new medications that will transform the lives of patients. Advances in wearable devices, such as phones, watches, textiles or delivery devices, which track a patient's vital signs and monitor for symptoms, all have the potential to vastly accelerate clinical development.
Areas of responsibility:
- Participate in data management activities including data review, data transfer, development of data standards
- Support our data management processes by optimizing and implementing appropriate workflows and SOPs
- Quickly recognize and mitigate data quality problems
- Contribute to the improvement and automation of the data processing and analysis pipeline across programs
- Support documentation, testing, validation, and improvement of of digital biomarker data collection tools
- Work on large amounts of feature data derived from sensors of smartphones, wearables and other devices collected during the daily life of participants in clinical studies
Professional, technical and personal requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in drug development including data management, medical research, or database design and development
- Knowledge of database structures and tools to manage, extract, and report data
- Profound knowledge in Python, R or similar software packages/languages
- Knowledge of CDISC standards
- Familiar with applicable regulations and policies, ICH-GCP and 21 CFR Part 11
- A deep care for data quality
- Good overall working knowledge of the clinical development process
- Ability to work in a diverse group together with data scientists, biomedical engineers and software developers
- Excellent in English; excellent writing skills
Nice to Haves
- Experience with software development processes and big data infrastructures
- Experience in experimental/clinical study design
