Job description

On behalf of our client we are looking for a Software Test Engineer

You will be in charge of the review of software requirements and use cases. Creation of test cases, as well as providing support in the writing of test cases to internal resources and external consultants will be an important task. You will run tests during various development stages (functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, automation tests) and suggest continuous testing process improvement, including test case evolution. You will execute test cases, record and document results, compare them to expected results. Defects logging during the test execution phase will be required, as well as reporting test results. You will maintain the test cases library in Team Foundation Server Microsoft Test Manager.

Profile

Your Job:
• You will be responsible for all the test activities regarding software integration and Software quality
• You will establish testing as a fundamental part of the development process within your team
• You will derive high quality test cases by analysing software requirements and acceptance criteria’s
• You will verify the testability of requirements and provide the feedback to your team
• You will automate the test cases using scripting languages
• You will execute test cases on different test environments (automated and manually)
• You will document test results and create defect and test reports
• You will ensure the traceability from requirements until test results
• You will ensure the quality of testing activities by performing peer reviews of all test artefacts
• You will perform regression testing in case of changes to the requirements
• You will suggest continuous testing process improvement, including test cases evolution

Professional requirements
• Ideally, you gathered 3+ years of experience in all phases of testing including specification, implementation, execution and documentation
• You have a good understanding of quality assurance life cycle, methodologies and best practices
• You have experience with agile testing and the usage of test automation frameworks
• You have knowledge on various test environment setups
• You are familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
• You have experience in working agile and the SCRUM framework
• You have experience with the Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager

Beneficial:
• ISTQB certification (Foundation Level)
• Fundamental understanding of software languages (C#, JavaScript & typescript)
• Knowledge in Test Driven Design (TDD), Behaviour Driven Design (BDD)
• Experience in setting up a test automation pipeline from scratch
• Basic understanding on implementation and experience in Hardware Interfaces
• Basic understanding of the DevOps concept



Languages: German (very good C1 or mother tongue) and English (very good C1)
Start: ASAP
Contract: 2-3 Months plus extension
Rate: Our client works on an Open RFP, please quote an all-inclusive daily rate in €
