Digital Dev Ops Engineer urgently required for our Central Government Sheffield based client on a 6 month initial contract + extensions (Outside IR35).You will be responsible for operational management of Linux servers, delivering a complex web application stack, building and configuring new server platforms and the automated tooling to do so. You will also be testing, debugging and troubleshooting of platform level problems, and supporting development teams with configuring applications for deployment.
The ideal candidate will need proven Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM, GPO and Windows . You will be a problem solver with experience in front-end and/ or back-end development, with basic knowledge of at least one programming language (Ruby/ Python/ Javascript/ Node.JS/ Java/ CSS/ HTML). You will also have experience of using testing to validate solutions with a strong understanding of the web and common security issues.
