Our client in North Rhine-Westphalia is currently in urgent need of external support in the area of Enterprise Architecture.Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, improving and driving IT Architectures
- Responsible for managing technical resources needed to prepare the solution design within projects.
- Able to Identify requirements by analyzing business/customer requirements
- Create architecture designs over different layers and technologies.
- Supporting Customers and Operations in daily business with regards to the Architecture
- Preparing data models; designing information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation
- Providing industry leading technical direction and guidance
- Supporting the Internal IT Projects and externally customer driven service requests.
General Skills:
- Ability to look across the assigned domain to ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions
- Strong practically based working knowledge of various architectural patterns, technologies and architecture management processes.
- Working without direct supervision to develop solution architectures
- Ability to negotiate customer requirements and map them to architecture
- Understanding of principles of storage, network, computing and virtualization
- Ability to make high level design of standard applications in cross platform environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills-verbal and written
- Must have experience in working in internationally distributed and virtual teams
- Fluency spoken and written English and German
- Self-motivated demonstrated good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 3-5+ years’ experience in IT architecture/design
- Experience working on an enterprise level
- Fundamental knowledge about architecture design frameworks
- Experience with working in an ITIL orientated company
In addition to standard application architecture skills obviously best case candidate also be having these skills below:
- knowledge of Linux (pref. RHEL 6)
- knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2
- basic knowledge about shell programming on Linux
- knowledge about basic IT technologies like network, load balancing, network segmentation (DMZ), reverse proxy, certification handling for SSL/SSH
- basic knowledge about Tomcat, Apache, JBoss/wildfly, Weblogic application server
- knowledge about web application architecture
- basic financial knowledge for offers and controlling
- Basic knowledge of ITIL (Foundation)
- good English (spoken and written)
- ability to work in multi-national environment
