Business Analyst for Document Management Mapping and Migration Tools 100%

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for working closely with partners across lines of business and the IT group. Purpose of the role is to understand strategic drivers and tactical needs to ensure that the implementation teams can provide solutions with the necessary stability, usability and scalability, which meet the business need. As the IT Business Analyst you will be supporting projects and operational activities in the Shared Platforms & Applications portfolio.

Purpose:
The role will assist IT Migration & Mapping Tools and processes project that aims at migrating non-regulated documents from sources to target platforms.

Task:
The job holder will report into the project manager and closely collaborate with system owners, process and technical experts from the project and program. Documenting end to end migration processes. Define and document tool requirements. Coordinate project requirements with program requirements clarifying which area owns responsibility. Ensure documented requirements are testable and traceable. Later track the implementation, testing and user acceptance of the implemented requirements. In order to be successful the business processes related to the program need to be understood in detail, to both align and address the impact to the business and project.

Local travel is required, working language is English. High proficiency in working virtually is a must.
Location: Basel area

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Analyze business scenarios and identify opportunities for improvement through automation and/or business process change
- Provide analytical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Develop functional and/or technical specifications
- Document and champion business processes. Provide consultation to users in the area of business systems and processes
- Elicit, analyze, validate, communicate and simplify requirements, and manage and communicate them effectively
- Lead successful completion of major projects/programs across portfolios. Champion accountability by example. Participate in roadmap discussions and vendor assessments
- Lead cross-functional discussions in the resolution of business or systems issues. Develop business cases in collaboration with business stakeholders and key account managers
- Facilitate and support system and technical/user acceptance testing
- Ensure compliance with all internal standards and practices including CSV

Qualifications
- University degree in IT preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience in multinational company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Track record of performing BA activities successfully on projects
- Experience in software development / customizing projects, Document Management Lifecycle or Migration experience preferred.
- Previous experience as Business Analyst on a CSV-regulated project preferred (Computerized System Validation)
- Experience with JIRA and HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) preferred
Structured approach, problem-solver, flexible and self-directed with analytical skills
- Familiar with Google suite and SharePoint preferred
- 3 years experience with Document Management preferred
- 2 years experience with SharePoint preferred
