Sybase DBA needed for a 12 months on-going contract with a large investment bank in Zurich. This is an exciting and challenging role as IT Senior Sybase Database Administrator for the Database Integration team which support Risk and Finance IT (Insight). The successful candidate will be responsible to support the development phase in a critical project, including but not limited to, task execution; backup, restore and clone of the instances, problem solving (like resolution of system and performance issues), active monitoring, Access Management etc.
Requirements:
- Professional experience (min. 5 years) in Sybase ASE Database Administration on Linux/Unix platforms
- Skills in DB Optimization and Tuning
- Experience and knowledge of Sybase Replication Server/Sybase IQ
- Background in MSSQL (2008/12/14) would be an advantage
- Min. 3 years' experience in production support
- A background in the financial industry is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
