Application Supporter - 2nd Level Support & Unix Know How (3177)

This challenging Position as User Supporter for the 2nd Level Global SW Deployment Systems will give the chance to work in a multicultural team & liaise with 3rd Level Support / Development teams and associated Unix, Windows and others.

Your qualificaton:

- Bachelor Degree or completed apprenticeship in IT / Computer Science
- Demonstrated experience in Unix/Linux, Windows
- Knowledge of SW distribution tools / processes are an advantage
- Experience in application support
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work efficiently
- Flexibility to provide on-call service
- A high level of service orientation and willingness to work independently but in a team
- Strong analytical skills and/or scripting skills are a plus
- Fluent English skills are required, German is an asset

The job:

- Accountability to perform daily operational tasks to ensure continuous running of the SW Deployment Systems
- Investigation and resolution of incoming issues (incidents, service requests according to ITIL-based Incident Management process)
- Active ownership of open incidents – ensure resolution or workaround and escalation to Problem Management as appropriate and participation in NPLs/PMs as required
- Documentation and maintenance of per-application support procedures
- Consultancy for application development / software packaging
- Multicultural team and possibility to work together with internal customers globally
