Senior Sybase DBA
Our client, headquartered in Zurich, is an important subsidiary of a global company in the finance industry. We are looking for a Senior Sybase DBA who can start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Working for the Database Integration team which support Risk and Finance IT
- Support of the development phase in a critical project, including task execution; backup, restore and clone of the instances, problem solving, active monitoring, Access Management etc.
- Close working relationship with project- and team members locally and globally to provide understanding across all components of the database environments.
- Responsibility for Consulting activities, design of solutions and implementation of DB infrastructure solutions
- Support Releases and deliverables of Projects
- Development of DBA solutions and project advice
- Responsibility for Project DBA requests as part of a DB Integration team
- Part of the 2nd Level Sybase DBA OnCall team
You offer:
- Over 5 years Professional experience in Sybase ASE Database Administration on Linux/Unix platforms
- Skills in DB Optimization and Tuning
- Experience of Sybase Replication Server/Sybase IQ
- Background in MSSQL (2008/12/14) would be an advantage
- 3 years' experience in production support
- Background in the banking industry is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English, German as an additional asset
