Edelway AG is a Swiss IT Recruitment Company. Our global multinational end-client based in Basel is currently looking for ar a Senior SW Engineer.Remote work is possible.
Software engineer will be an integral part of a small but senior development team charged with building a first class web portal that will act as a conduit between departments of our client.
The system will be comprised of both internally (Intranet) and externally (Internet) facing components.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and dedicated with extensive software engineering experience in large projects with a focus on Front End development.
Skills
* Demonstrated ability to develop high quality, modular, maintainable, readable, testable client side code for large projects
* Comfortable developing in cross browser environment (chrome/firefox/ie/safari), supporting multiple versions and disciplined approach to test thoroughly.
* Possesses skills necessary to analyze a particular feature and produce an accurate estimate, committing to date of completion.
* Intelligent software engineer that can quickly consume business requirements, solve problems and respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities and challenges
* Ability to craft and clearly present Front End design to team members and demonstrate strengths and weaknesses of approaches gaining consensus.
* Comfortable in a small team environment using Agile methodologies.
* Working knowledge of enterprise software development comprised of various technology stacks.
* Working knowledge of event driven architecture in a SOA environment
Education
* 5 years + developing complex UI, 8 years+ overall software engineering experience with a solid educational background
* Extensive Front End experience developing user interfaces with the latest client technologies
* Advanced Javascript, html5, CSS3, AngularJS, Bootstrap, nodejs, grunt
* Unit testing framework such as Jasmine
* Significant experience consuming RESTful web services
* Experience developing portals that are externally facing with specific attention to cyber-attack prevention
* Experience using SVN in a multi branch environment
* Working knowledge of SQL and oracle
* Some life sciences exposure a plus
